Worshipful Brother David L. Reynolds was born in Richmond, Indiana on August 28, 1956. He graduated Northeastern High School in Fountain City, Indiana in 1975. Worshipful Brother Reynolds was active in school and served as a member of the schools Arts Council, Track and Varsity Golf Team. He received a Scholarship to Rose Hulman University of Architecture in Terre Haute, Indiana; but, delayed attending college to join the United States Air Force. He completed Basic Military Training and was assigned to the Fire Protection career field where he found his calling as a Firefighter. While with the Air Force he was assigned to Chanute, Kinchloe, and Offutt Air Force Bases. During his time at Kinchloe he became acquainted with a local resident, Miss Korlyn Kay Ketner. Worshipful Brother Reynolds married Miss Ketner and they have remained happily married for 45 years. They have two children, Wendy, and Paul, and three grandchildren. Their oldest daughter Wendy and her husband live in Colorado Springs with their two sons. Their son Paul and his wife live in Maryland with their daughter. Worshipful Brother Reynolds remained in the Air Force for four years and when honorably discharged he took a Firefighting position at Pueblo Army Depot in Pueblo Colorado. The couple moved to Colorado, but only lived a short time in Pueblo. Six months after arriving in Colorado, Worshipful Brother Reynolds was offered a Firefighting Engineers position in Colorado Springs at Peterson Air Force Base. He accepted that position and the couple moved to Colorado Springs. After moving to Colorado Springs Worshipful Brother Reynolds returned to school and received a degree in Fire Science and Public Safety. He worked as a Firefighter at Peterson Air Force Base for over 30 years attaining the ranks of Lieutenant, Captain, Assistant Fire Chief and Chief of Training. During his tenure at Peterson Fire Emergency Service Worshipful Brother Reynolds, in addition to his regular duties, taught as a regional (Capstone) instructor for Texas A&M for the Northwest United States and worked with Local and State Emergency Response Agencies to establish Mutual Aid Agreements, and Standards of Response for El Paso County and the surrounding areas. Worshipful Brother Reynolds retired from Peterson Fire Emergency Services in May 2010 and he and his wife live in Colorado exploring the state and its many beauties and wonders.
Worshipful Brother Reynolds was no stranger to masonry growing up in a household of masons. His Father, John C. Reynolds, was an active 3rd degree Master Mason, 32 degree Scottish Rite Mason, and Shriner. His Grandfather, Wilber W. Inglert, was a 33rd degree Scottish Rite Mason and hailed from an unbroken line of Masons dating back to 1893. Worshipful Brother Reynolds received his Entered Apprentice Degree in Tejon Lodge #104 in October 1981, his Fellow Craft degree in November 1981 and Master Mason degree in April 1982. He is a Past Master of Tejon Lodge #104 1996 and 2016, Past Excellent High Priest of Pikes Peak #6 Royal Arch Masons, Past Thrice Illustrious Master of Zabud Council #8 Cryptic Masons, and Past Commander of Pikes Peak Commandery #6. Secretary of Colorado Springs York Rite Bodies 2013-2022, Recipient of MEGC Royal Arch Masons of Colorado Secretary of the Year 2019, Illustrious Companion of the Year 2022 for The Grand Council of Cryptic Masons of Colorado, Member and Past Prior of Pikes Peak Priory #21 Knight of the York Cross of Honor (KYCH), Past Puissant Sovereign Sangre de Christo Red Cross of Constantine, Past Preceptor Magi Tabernacle # LXIII Holy Royal Arch Knight Templar Priests. Past Sovereign Master Gofannin Council 315 Allied Masonic Degrees, Past Governor of Southern Colorado York Rite College #109, Order of the Purple Cross and Past Grand Governor YRSCNA Colorado Jurisdiction 2019-2022.
